Terms of service

HomeHelper is operated by TradeBaton (“we”). By submitting a job request or creating a pro account you agree to these terms.

What HomeHelper is

HomeHelper is an introduction service. A homeowner describes a job; we send it to one home-service professional in that area. We are not a party to any work that follows, we do not perform the work, and we do not guarantee that a pro will respond, quote or complete it.

Homeowners

  • Give accurate contact details and an honest description of the job.
  • One request per job. Duplicate or automated submissions are blocked.
  • Any agreement, price, schedule or warranty is between you and the pro.

Pros

  • You must hold whatever licence or insurance your trade and location require.
  • Accounts are reviewed by hand before they receive leads. We may decline or revoke approval at any time.
  • Leads are exclusive to you while they are in your inbox. Do not share, resell or forward a homeowner’s contact details, and contact them only about the job they asked for.
  • Respond to leads honestly: accept what you intend to pursue, decline what you do not.
  • Founding pros use the service free. If paid plans open, you will see the price before anything changes and nothing is charged without your explicit sign-up.

Not allowed

Scraping, automated submissions, fake requests or accounts, harvesting contact details, or any attempt to get around the one-pro-per-job routing. We may suspend accounts and block addresses that do this.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the quality, safety or legality of any work arranged through HomeHelper, for a pro’s or homeowner’s conduct, or for any indirect loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the effective date above moves and pros are told by email. Questions: [email protected]. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
