Privacy policy
HomeHelper is operated by TradeBaton (“we”). This page says what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it changed or deleted. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Who this covers
Two kinds of people use HomeHelper: homeowners who submit a job request, and pros (home-service professionals) who create an account to receive those requests.
What we collect
Homeowners (job requests)
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, phone number.
- The job itself: trade, title, description, urgency, preferred date, ZIP code and budget.
- Technical data when you submit the form: IP address and a Cloudflare anti-spam check result.
Pros (accounts)
- Your name, email address and a password (stored only as a hash by our authentication provider).
- Business name, trade and the ZIP codes you serve.
- Your lead history: which requests were routed to you and how you responded.
- If paid plans open: billing details handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
We do not use advertising cookies or trackers. The only cookies are the ones that keep a pro signed in.
Why we use it
- To route a homeowner’s request to exactly one pro and let that pro get in touch.
- To run the pro’s account: sign-in, lead inbox, approval, billing.
- To stop abuse: spam requests, fake accounts, duplicate submissions.
- To email you about your own request or account. We do not send marketing email.
Who sees it
- One pro. A homeowner’s contact details are released to a single pro, and only after that pro has accepted the request. If they decline, the request goes to the next pro and the first one loses access. Requests are never sold or shared with more than one pro at a time.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication, US), Vercel (hosting, US), Cloudflare (DNS and anti-spam, US), Resend (transactional email, US), Stripe (payments, US), Zoho (company mailbox). Each is bound by its own data-processing terms.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Job requests keep the homeowner’s contact details for 12 months after submission, then those details are removed and only the anonymised job record remains. Pro accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
- Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you. We answer within 30 days.
- Pros can edit their business details in the app and sign out on any device.
- California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell personal information. Use the same address to exercise these rights.
Do Not Track
We do not track you across other sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to change.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside the database is restricted row by row, so a pro can only read their own leads. Admin access requires a second factor. We review this setup regularly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top moves and pros with an account are told by email.
